Description
The UCT LoRaWAN Gateway is a compact, low-cost, low-power wide area network (LPWAN) wireless gateway that supports Semtech LoRaWAN® long-range wireless protocol. This gateway is designed for space-efficient installations, measuring just 197.5 x 90 x 60 mm and housed in an ABS enclosure.
The gateway features a Semtech SX1302 baseband processor along with a pair of SX1257 highly integrated RF front-end transceivers. The SX1257 provides multi-PHY mode and I/Q modem on chip capabilities, enabling flexible communication options for various LoRaWAN applications.
This compact gateway is ideal for indoor deployments and applications where space is limited, such as office buildings, warehouses, and small industrial facilities. Despite its small size, it provides reliable LoRaWAN connectivity for IoT devices over long ranges.

Functional Description
The LoRaWAN Gateway operates as a bridge between LoRaWAN end devices and the network server, receiving and forwarding data packets from multiple IoT sensors and devices.
Multi-channel reception capability allows the gateway to simultaneously receive data from multiple LoRaWAN devices operating on different channels and spread factors.
Internet backhaul connectivity (Ethernet, WiFi, or 4G) enables real-time data transmission to cloud-based LoRaWAN network servers and IoT platforms.
Bidirectional communication supports both uplink (device to server) and downlink (server to device) data transmission for remote control and configuration.
Configuration and management can be performed through web-based interface or network server integration for easy setup and monitoring.
